Two fascinating tours to do now!
There are two tours that are necessary to do at this time of year. They are at their peak for unique sightings! One is the Whale Watching Expedition and the other is the Secrets of the Salton Sea Tour. The whales are at their peak migration right now and sightings have been excellent! The migration will end in March so this is the perfect time to go on this tour...otherwise, you'll have to wait another year. The Salton Sea Tour is good for a couple of reasons. One is that the fault has been very active lately and this tour will take you to some unique features of the fault that run right along the Salton Sea. The other reason to go now is because there are millions of birds resting here as they travel along the Pacific Highway - this is the peak time for all the migrating birds. There are over 400 species of birds at the Salton Sea right now! Not to be missed!
Below are just a few of the incredible species of birds you'll find at the Salton Sea.

Sandhill Cranes

Burrowing Owl

Great Blue Heron
