The narration is everything!
Have you ever driven to a National Park, State Park, or Preserve and not known what you are looking at? It happens all the time. Guests tell us, "we drove into the desert, looked around, and drove right out". That is because they needed someone to interpret what they were seeing. That is what a naturalist guide is for - to help you understand what you are looking at. They bring what may at first seem like a barren wasteland to life. Not everything is going to hit you right in the face. You may have to look a little deeper - especially in the case of a desert. It is a unique ecosystem and only a knowledgeable guide can explain it to you. We pride ourselves in "bringing the desert to life" for our guests. We unlock the secrets and open the door so to speak. When a guest has taken one of our desert tours, they really begin to understand and appreciate what they experienced. The photo below shows Craig, one of our Elite Guide's, explaining the powerful forces of two giant tectonic plates pushing past each other along the San Andreas Fault!

Very interesting to know that you will
learn about what you see on your tour!
