Having fun with the guide and an Ocotillo bloom!

We like to have fun with our guests but sometimes the tables turn and they give it right back. The photo at the bottom is an Ocotillo in bloom. They bloom in the spring, the flowers are very dependent on moist soil to survive. The bright red flowers, about an inch in length, grow in bunches on the ends of the stems. They contain nectar that attracts many local and migratory hummingbirds. Both photos are from our San Andreas Fault Tour.
