On our desert tours, we sometimes get the opportunity to see a Roadrunner. They are not easy to photograph as they run away quickly. They can actually get up to speeds of 20 mph! And did you know that the Greater Roadrunner is a member of the cuckoo family. Our local Roadrunner is also known as the Chaparral Cock. The photograph below was taken on our Wind Farm Tour.
