The San Andreas Fault is at it again! 5.7 Magnitude Earthquake!

A 5.7 earthquake struck about 140 miles south of Palm Springs yesterday at 9:26 PM Pacific Time (at the epicenter). It was felt all the way in Los Angeles! This quake may be an aftershock to a 7.2 earthquake that hit the same area on Easter Sunday but experts say it is too soon to tell. The 5.7 earthquake occurred at a depth of 3.4 miles. Below is a map showing the most recent earthquakes in our area. As you can see, most of the activity is just north of the California/Mexico border! Check out our San Andreas Fault Tour while it is still there!
