Joshua Tree Adventure Tour - Roadrunner!

Roadrunners are quick enough to catch and eat rattlesnakes and prefer walking or running. They can attain speeds up to 18 mph. hour. A roadrunner's life does have its dangers. Roadrunners are occasionally preyed upon by hawks, house cats, raccoons, rat snakes, bullsnakes, skunks, and coyotes eat nestlings and eggs. During the winter months, many succumb to freezing and icy weather. The two photos below were taken on our Joshua Tree Adventure Tour!
